Couple lambasts Ri Bhoi cops

NONGPOH [Nov 10]: The parents of a boy, who was reportedly kidnapped and murdered on December 16 last at Nagrabil village, have now cast aspersions on the police of Pilangkata Police Outpost and Khanapara Police Station over their incompetence.
Speaking to the media persons on Tuesday, Monu M Arengh and Rikomoni Marak – the parents of the boy – pinned the blame on the police, stating that because of not being able to do their jobs properly, the criminals are roaming freely.
We will continue to fight for justice to make sure that those responsible for kidnapping and murdering our son will face stringent punishments as per relevant sections of law, the resolute couple said.
Stating that they have provided enough evidence to the police against the people involved in the homicide, the couple bewailed that so far, no action has been taken to nab the perpetrators.
The duo said that besides Darius Marak, who has been imprisoned, other involved in the crime, viz. Rohit K Sangma, Robinson M Arengh, Sonu M Arengh, Abnell K Marak, u Nathil K Momin and Harkinson R Marak are still at large.
It has also been alleged that some close aide of Robinson M Arengh had manhandled the witness few days ago.
Meanwhile, a fresh complaint was registered today at Pilangkata Police Outpost.
