KHLIEHRIAT, Nov 14: Police in East Jaintia Hills seized 10,000 Yaba tablets from two persons, one from Karimganj and the other from Badarpur, and subsequently arrested them.
According to police, the contraband was concealed inside the bonnet of the car (AS-10A-8308) they were travelling in.
The seizure was made based on a tip-off that some persons from neighbouring Assam are using Malidor, a place in Assam-Meghalaya border, as a hub to smuggle contraband into the state and other parts of the North East.
