One killed and three hurt as vehicle falls into gorge

Mawkyrwat, Nov 16: One person died on the spot while three others are severely injured when one Bolero pickup fell into a gorge in Ranikor area, South West Khasi Hills district.
Official sources informed that the incident took place on November 14 in which one Bolero Pickup (registration number AS-26-C-6146) travelling towards Nongjri village and carrying spare parts fell into a gorge in Ranikor area.
The driver of the vehicle, twenty-year-old Kadul Xcobi of Nachanguri, Bongaigoan district, Assam died on the spot. The other occupants of the vehicle Yakup Islam (25) of Barpeta, Assam, Gopal Das of Dhubri, Assam and Gulab Mustafa of Bihar suffered severe injuries.  The injured were immediately shifted to Ranikor Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment.
