Meet talks on issues of cops being respondents

SHILLONG, Nov 17: Members of the Meghalaya State Commission for Women (MSCW) on Tuesday conferred about cases where members of the police force are respondents of the cases. The members, during the meeting, also suggested that sensitisation programmes for police officials should be conducted on a regular basis and necessary steps should be initiated to avert as well as resolve such incidents.
Meanwhile, Additional DGP (L&O/TAP), I Nongrang, asserted that numerous training programmes to sensitise police personnel have been conducted and the trend will continue.
