Natl Lok Adalat
The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority (MSLSA), Shillong, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority will organise the National Lok Adalat on all subject matters on December 5 at the High Court of Meghalaya, District Courts, District Council Courts, Sub-Divisional Courts, Deputy Commissioners’ offices etc. Any person or party receiving the Lok Adalat Notice has been asked to appear before the Lok Adalat benches for settlement of their dispute amicably, a statement issued here said.

Unclaimed body
One patient, viz. Amar Thapa (45), from Iewduh, was admitted at Shillong Civil Hospital in the Male Medical Ward, Bed No. 23, on October 17. However, the patient passed away at 12:55 pm on November 11. The authorities have, meanwhile, urged the concerned person(s) to collect the body from the hospital morgue within three days. If failed, the body will be sent for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.
