Mawphlang Sacred Grove to reopen

SHILLONG, Nov 27: The Law Kyntang, Mawphlang (Mawphlang Sacred Grove), and trekking along the David Scott trail will be thrown open to visitors from December 1, the Hima Mawphlang Lyngdohship informed.
Lyngdoh of the Hima, CA Lyngdoh, informed that all visitors are to register themselves in the Tourism Information Centre, Mawphlang, and to ensure that cleanliness is maintained at all cost. “They (visitors) are requested to respect the sanctity of Lawkyntang, Mawphlang, and to maintain social distancing besides adhering to protocols of government and Hima Mawphlang Lyngdohship as well as the rules and regulations of the Hima,” Lyngdoh said.
