TURA, Dec 1: Members of the Tura Bar Association have expressed grief over the sudden demise of their colleague, Goldingstone R Sangma, who passed away here on Sunday.
The members of the bar observed a two-minute silence and in a condolence message to the bereaved family, the association recalled his contributions to the Tura Bar during his years of service.
“In his death the Tura Bar Association has lost a great person and charismatic leader who was an imminent figure for the young generation in guiding them in the legal fraternity. Not only was he a social worker in his own right for the general public of Garo Hills, he was also an environmentalist who always cherished the natural beauty of our rich flora and fauna of Garo Hills and fought for the right of the farmer fraternity in teaching the farming technique with the use of technology,” said the Tura Bar Association in its condolence message.
