AMPATI, Dec 3: A single-day training-cum-orientation programme on Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) was organised for the District Water and Sanitation Mission (DWSM) functionaries of Ampati, South West Garo Hills, on Thursday.
The training session focused on introduction of JJM, roles of the District Coordinator, action plan, VAP, DAP, plans/template on IEC; quantity, quality of drinking water supply and sustainability of sources and system etc.
At present, in South West Garo Hills, 2,425 households have been provided with functional household tap connection under JJM during the financial year 2020-2021 out of the 13,072 targeted households. The progressive total household is 3,333. While the state average of household taps connection is 5.53 per cent, coverage in the district is about 8.34 per cent.
