Ban on lighting fire or cooking at Mawphlang Sacred Grove

SHILLONG, Dec 9: The Hima Mawphlang Lyngdohship has informed that visitors are strictly prohibited from lighting fire or cooking in the premises of Lawkyntang Mawphlang (Mawphlang Sacred Grove) for the time being.
In a statement issued here, the Mawphlang Lyngdohship said that the order will remain in force till further notice, while also seeking public cooperation.
