Cops retrieve weapons in EGH

TURA, Dec 12: East Garo Hills Police on Saturday unearthed a huge cache of arms, believed to have left behind by the GNLA, inside the Durama forest.
Police have been making strenuous efforts to retrieve any weapon left behind by militants. On Saturday, after getting specific inputs about the concealed weapons, a police team comprising SF-10 commandoes conducted a search operation in the Durama forest of Patalgre village and recovered the buried weapons.
A total of five 7.65 mm automatic pistols, all in a rusted state, were recovered and brought back to Williamnagar Police Station.
Meanwhile, a case has also been registered in this connection.
