Nadda tests positive
New Delhi, Dec 13: BJP president J P Nadda has tested positive for the novel coronavirus and has gone into home isolation on the advice of doctors. In a tweet, he said he had undergone a test after showing symptoms of COVID-19, and was found to be positive. “My condition is alright and I am following all instructions after going for home isolation on the advice of doctors. I request everyone who got in touch with me in the last few days to isolate themselves and undergo test,” he said. (PTI)
Cheats dupe travellers in Delhi Metro
New Delhi, Dec 13: A gang of cheats is active in Delhi Metro which identifies travellers from Bihar and other remote areas by their dialect. They use various techniques to dupe innocent passengers on the pretext that “Jija ji TTE hain” (Brother-in-law is TTE) and would help in getting confirmed reservation for train journeys. The gang then lures the victims by taking them to another destination by auto and duping them one by one while taking all their belongings including ATM cards, bags and luggage. The Metro unit of Delhi Police has arrested three such cheats identified as Anil Kumar Das, a resident of East Champaran, Bihar , Balram, resident of Sitamari, Bihar and Zahid, a resident of Hapur in UP. Chhattisgarh CM participates in virtual Marathon
New Delhi/Raipur, Dec 13: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, who will complete two years in office on December 17, on Sunday himself participated in ‘Run with Chhattisgarh’ marathon, held in the run up to the anniversary. This special marathon with theme ‘Baat hai abhiman kee, Chhattisgarh ke swabhimaan kee’, organised by the state Sports and Youth Welfare and Public Relations Departments, had participants uploading their running photos or videos following the necessary norms amid Covid-19 on social media with the hashtag #runwithchhattisgarh. Goa to conserve historical places
Panaji, Dec 13: Every place in Goa, which is linked to the historically significant events including the liberation of the state from Portuguese rule in 1961, will be identified, spruced up and conserved for posterity, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said on Sunday. “This is a matter of pride for Goans… Every place linked to incidents of historic importance right from Shivaji’s (arrival in Goa) to freedom fighters who contributed to the liberation of Goa will be identified, beautified and conserved for the future,” Sawant said.
