SHILLONG, Dec 22: Director General of Police (DGP), R Chandranathan, on Tuesday conferred 50 commendation awards in silver and bronze category on police officials of the department for their contributions in the line of duty.
Police officials from the rank of Superintendent of Police and below were awarded the DGP’s Commendation Medals and Certificates.
While the DGP handed over the awards to the officials of Eastern Range, the awards for the officials of Western Range were handed over by Deputy Inspector General of Police (WR), A Kumar.
Out of the 50 DGP’s commendation awards, 11 silver commendations were awarded to SPs and 39 bronze commendations were awarded to the subordinate officials.
The award-giving ceremony, which was held at PHQ, Conference Hall, was attended by officials from Western Range and New Delhi.
