Bindo wants CM’s seriousness on ‘incursions’

SHILLONG, Jan 11: Senior UDP leader, Bindo M Lanong, has asked Chief Minister Conrad Sangma to take the matter of “calculated incursions” by Assam seriously.
He said that the alleged calculated incursions by Assam in parts of West Khasi Hills, Khanapara and Umwang in Ri Bhoi and Khanduli-Lapangap areas in Jaintia Hills are seriously disturbing.
“Before situation goes out of control, please take up the matter seriously with Assam and in the meantime our police forces should be deputed to those areas to provide security to people,” Lanong added.
