Cricket coaching camp for girls concluded

MAWKYRWAT, Jan 11: The three weeks cricket coaching camp organised by the South West Khasi Hills District Cricket Association (SWKHDCA) for girls from South West Khasi Hills District at Pendenspar Field, Jakrem had recently concluded. Secretary of the SWKHDCA, Bakhain Nongsiej informed that the main objective of the Association for organising the coaching camp is to promote young girls from the District who are interested in playing cricket. He said that the Association will also organise coaching camp at Shilliang Um Rilang area as it wanted to spread cricket in every corner of the district. He said that there are many young girls who have good potentials in cricket. In this programme, the Association also facilitated three senior girls cricketers from the district, Ribeldalis Syiemlieh, Tiewshailin Lyngdoh and Angelis Turnia who have also represented Meghalaya in many tournaments.
