SHILLONG, Jan 13: The Shillong Electric Crematorium will resume its functioning starting Thursday. Informing this, a statement from the Greater Shillong Crematorium &Mortuary Society has also said that COVID-infected bodies will be prioritised for cremation. “Before anyone departs from home or hospital with a dead body of his near and dear ones to the crematorium, please inform Prakash Sunar, who is the operator (8414060709),” the statement said.
It may be mentioned that the crematorium was shut owing to renovation.
