Vaccination drive
The first vaccination drive against COVID-19 in a private sector was carried out at Nazerath Hospital in close collaboration with Health department. According to a statement, 99 persons had enrolled for the inoculation, out of which 92 were given the jab. “Two persons were deferred because of contraindications. The remaining 5 could not attend the vaccination session because of various reasons,” the statement said.

Unclaimed body
The Joint Director of Health Services (SS), Shillong Civil Hospital, has informed that a male patient (33), C/o MIMHANS, Shillong, was admitted in the hospital’s male medical ward, bed no. 12, on the afternoon of December 18, 2020. However, the patient passed away on January 15 at 2 pm. The hospital authorities have, meanwhile, requested the kin of the deceased to collect the body from the hospital morgue.
