Wildlife conservation projects soon

SHILLONG, Jan 20: Meghalaya government will take up the Clouded Leopard Recovery Programme and ‘Small Cats Project’ to facilitate the process of wildlife conservation and help in mitigating man-animal conflicts.
Forest and Environment Minister, James Sangma, on Wednesday, met BK Lyngwa, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, and other officials of the department to discuss about the projects to be undertaken.
“Conservation does not only mean saving forests and animals but finding a balance to improve the lives of people living around them as well,” the minister said.
