NHAI notice for goods vehicles
SHILLONG, Feb 1: The Project Director of National Highways Authority of India, Meghalaya, has informed that any mechanical vehicle which is loaded in excess of the permissible load specified for its category will be liable to pay fee as per rate applicable for the next higher category. The driver, owner or person in charge will be liable to pay fee for entering the overloaded vehicle on the National Highway to the toll collecting agency equal to ten times of the fee applicable to such category of mechanical vehicles under relevant rules, a statement said on Monday.

Curfew extended in WGH
TURA, Feb 1: West Garo Hills District Magistrate has extended the night curfew in the district till February 9. According to the directive, the curfew will be promulgated between 11 pm and 5 am and will carry the same restrictions and relaxations.
