13 state athletes to compete in Junior Athletics C’ship

SHILLONG, Feb 5: Meghalaya Athletics Association has selected 13 athletes and two officials to participate in the 36th National Junior Athletics Championship to be held in Guwahati from February 6 to 10. However, this time five athletes had tested positive for COVID-19, although asymptomatic, which has been a huge loss for the association which had trained them for 20 days. Also, two of them are medal prospects, according to the association. The athletes include: Girls — Gloryfy Kurbah, Anrisha Klein, Angelina J Jackson; and Boys —Marso Kyndait, Ribet Dkhar, Monas Bongrung, Donbok Shabong, Repol Dkhar, Dabit Dkhar, Dasaman Kyndait, Damang I Lyngdoh, Teiboklang Biam and Kyrshanlang Shylla.
