Over 6k people vaccinated: Govt

SHILLONG, Feb 5: Meghalaya has so far inoculated more than 6,000 health workers with Covishield ever since COVID-19 vaccines were rolled out across the country.
Principal Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare department, Sampath Kumar, on Friday informed that a total of 6,191 healthcare workers have been vaccinated in the state so far.
On Friday, seven districts participated in the vaccination drive and 722 healthcare workers received the jabs.
It may be mentioned that the government is expecting the vaccination process in the state to take a minimum of one year.
