Shillong, Feb 14: Rangkynsai SC beat IQRA by 7 wickets in the first match of the 8th Ardhendu Chaudhuri Memorial Invitational Tennis ball cricket tournament on Sunday. IQRA won the toss and put Rangkynsai to bat. Rangkynsai scored 62 runs in 6 overs. In reply, IQRA scored 55 runs in 6 overs.
In the second match, ICCA won against NWCC by 1 wicket. ICCA won the toss and elected to field first. NWCC scored 29 runs in 5.1 overs. ICCA chased the target with one ball remaining.
In the third march, Dishoom won by 4 runs Keating Road SC. Keating Road won the toss and put Dishoom to bat, who scored 72 runs in 6 overs. Keating Road scored 67 runs in their allotted 6 overs.
Meanwhile, SSMC took on Royal CC in the fourth match of the day. Royal fielded first after winning the toss. SSMC score 49 runs in 6 overs. Royal could score 41 runs in 6 overs, thereby losing the contest by 8 runs.
In the fifth game of the day, The XI beat Roshni by 24 runs. Batting first, The XI scored 52 runs in their allotted overs. Roshini bundled out for 28 runs in 6 overs.
In the sixth match of the day, Vintage United beat Wolves by 9 runs. Wolves won the toss and elected to field first. Vintage United scored 49 runs in 6 overs. In reply, Wolves scored 40 runs in 6 overs.
The last match was between Titans and Sales XI. Sales XI won the toss and batted first, scoring 66 in 6 overs. Titans lost the contest in the last over as they fell short by 5 runs.
