Dak Adalat
A circle-level Dak Adalat will be held in the Office of the Chief Postmaster General, North East Circle, Shillong, on March 5 at 11 am. According to a statement, the Dak Adalat will entertain grievances pertaining to Postal Serviced for its redressal. “Written complaints may be sent through ordinary post or speed post with the subject ‘Dak Adalat’ superscribed on the cover, addressed to the Chief Postmaster General, North East Circle, Shillong-793001,” the statement said, adding that the written complaints should reach the office on or before March 1.

Condolence
The Meghalaya Retired College Teachers’ Association (MRCTA) has condoled the demise of Prof. Obren Shanpru, former lecturer from Commerce, St. Anthony’s College. According to a statement from MRCTA, Prof. Shanpru passed away on February 17 following a brief illness. The MTCTA also remembered the time when Prof. Shanpru was rendering services as a teacher and was an active member of the MCTA.

Celebration
Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides will celebrate Founder’s Day and World Thinking Day at the Baden Powell Jamboree Auditorium, State Headquarters, Pine Mount Ridge, on Monday at 11 am.

Proposal
The Federation of All Meghalaya Ad hoc Secondary Teachers’ Association has said that proposals have been submitted to the state government in January with regard to the Association’s long-term demands.
