WKH locals educated on menace of substance abuse

NONGSTOIN: SAN-KER, Shillong, on Friday organised a capacity-building and an awareness programme on substance abuse at New Nongstoiñ Market Complex, West Khasi Hills.
During the programme, counselor at SAN-KER, Augustine Ryngksai, who was the chief guest, dwelt at length about the ill-effects of substance abuse.
Ryngksai also explained about ways to identify youths afflicted with substance abuse habits and help them pull the plug on such practices. The programme was also attended by consultant at SAN-KER Dr Eddie Mukhim, former Joint Director of Health Services Dr P Lyngkhoi, members of Urban Mission from New Nongstoiñ Presbyterian Church, youths, among others.
