James appoints members for party committee

SHILLONG, Feb 20: Power Minister James Sangma has congratulated the members of the newly formed NPP Assam State Ad hoc Committee and wished them luck in their endeavours to bolster the party.
According to a statement on Saturday, the committee was formed in Shillong and will contest the upcoming assembly elections in Assam.
James, who is also the election in-charge of Assam, had appointed the office-bearers of the committee.
According to the statement, Biswajit Baruah was elected as the vice-president, Abul Hussain, Purna Kanta Pegu and Partha Pratim Mahanta were elected as the general secretaries, Sunit Das was elected as treasurer, among others.
