SHILLONG, Feb 25: NEPA CC defeated Nongkseh United by 4 wickets in a 1st Division Shillong Cricket League match here at the NEPA grounds on Thursday. Nongkseh won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored 157 runs for the loss of 10 wickets in 28.3 overs. Batsmen Rohit Kumar Yadav (45 runs off 21 balls) and Pankaj Chanda (29 runs off 28 balls) were the top scorers for Nongkseh. Manoj Kumar of NEPA claimed 3 wickets in 6 overs while giving away 23 runs. In reply, NEPA scored 158 for the loss of 6 wickets in 23 overs. Dharmindar Yadav scored 41 runs in 30 balls and was supported ably by Subroto (37 runs off 36 balls). For Nongkseh, Prasinjit Chanda took 2 wickets giving away 12 runs in 3 overs. Manoj Yadav of NEPA was adjudged the Man of the Match for his all-round performance. He scroed 14 runs, while also claiming 3 wickets.
