The XI lift 8th Ardhendu Chaudhuri Trophy

SHILLONG, Feb 25: The XI beat Aparajita by 28 runs to lift the 8th Ardhendu Chaudhuri Memorial Invitational Tennis ball cricket tournament organised by Rilbong Sports and Cultural Club on Thursday.
The XI won the toss and elected to bat. They scored 52 runs in 6 overs. In reply, Aparajita were bundled out for 24 runs.
The XI were awarded a winner’s trophy along with Rs. 15,000 as prize money. As runners-up, Aparajita were awarded Rs 10,000 by the tournament committee.
SSCM-VIII was adjudged the best Disciplined Team and were giving a cash award of Rs. 2,000.
Kalyan Bhattacharjee (Highest Runs Scorer) of Sales XI, Ankit (Highest Wicket Taker) of ICCA, and Chaman Dhalia (Man of the Match of the final) of the XI were handed a cash prizes of Rs. 1,000 each.
Swarajit Das of the XI and Rajdeep Dutta of Aparajita were named the Man of the Match of their respective semi-finals and were awarded of Rs. 500 each.
