First Division Shillong Cricket League: MLP outclass NEPA

SHILLONG, March 7: MLP defeated NEPA by 7 wickets in a 1st Division Shillong Cricket League match here at the NEPA grounds on Sunday. NEPA won the toss and elected to bat first. NEPA scored 141 all out in 26 overs. Manikant Sinha top scored for NEPA, scoring 46 runs off 69 balls. Manoj Kumar Yadav was the next highest scorer with 21 runs off 31 balls. Morningstar Khongwir (4/26) and Pankaj Ray (3/20) were the pick of the bowlers for MLP. In reply, MLP scored 147 for the loss of 3 wickets in 18.4 overs. Ranjeet Roy top scored for MLP scoring 64 runs off 53 balls. Wallamjohn Lyngdoh (23 runs off 23 balls) was the next hightest scorer for MLP. For NEPA, Manikant scalped 1 wicket giving away 6 runs, while Sandeep Kumar took 1 wicket giving away 26 runs in 4 overs. MLP’s Morningstar was adjudged the Man of the Match for his outstanding bowling perfomance.
