SHILLONG, March 13: Shillong Cricket Association A are just three wickets away from winning the final of the Meghalaya Cricket Association’s Inter-District U-23 Men’s Cricket Tournament in Mendipathar and will look to finish the job early tomorrow morning.
At stumps on the second day Tura District Cricket Association A were 64/7 in their second innings, 203 runs away from an unlikely win with one day to go in the match.
In the morning TDCA-A resumed their first innings on 47/8 and added 15 more runs before succumbing for 62 all out, giving SCA-A a lead of 125 after they had scored 187/10 in their first innings. Abhishek Kumar claimed both remaining wickets for SCA-A to finish with impressive figures of 8/22.
In their second innings, the Shillong team declared on 141/8 in 33.5 overs. Ashif Khan top-scored with 26 not out, while Manish Sharma took 4/40 (match figures of 10/95).
