SHILLONG, March 16: The Project Director of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), who is in charge of the area where the bailey bridge is being constructed, has been summoned by the division bench of the High Court for the next hearing.
“Upon perusing the report filed before this Court on behalf of the Meghalaya Bar Association pursuant to our earlier order dated 11th March, 2021, we are of the view that the concerned Project Director of NHAI, who is in-charge of the area where the Bailey Bridge is being erected, is to be present in Court on the next date,” (sic) the division bench of the High Court said.
The matter will be taken up for further consideration on Thursday.
Earlier, the High Court had expressed displeasure over the tardy progress of work while directing the Meghalaya Bar Association to depute two office-bearers to inspect the construction work and file a report on the next date of hearing on March 16.
