SHILLONG, March 21: Sputnik CC claimed a comfortable 7 wicket victory over Khalsa Warriors in a Shillong Cricket League Super Division match here on Sunday after a scintillating unbeaten century by Man of the Match Abhay Negi. Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Khalsa Warriors wree restricted to 177 runs in 32 overs before being bowled out. Jasbir Singh (33) and Suraj Singh (32) were the top scorers for the Warriors. Aryan Bora and Nafees both picked up two wickets apiece for Sputnik. In reply, Sputnik cruised to 179/3 in 18 overs after a superb 104 by Abhay that came off onlu 47 balls. Aman Kumar remained unbeaten at the crease with 29 off 36 balls as Spartan CC registered a 7 wicket win. Vikash Sahani took all three wickets returning with figures of 3/39.
