SHILLONG, March 30: Ri Bhoi defeated East Garo Hills by 87 runs in a rain-affected match of the Meghalaya Cricket Association’s Inter District U-19 Girls Cricket Tournament in Nongstoin today. The game was reduced to six overs a side. Batting first, Banrisha Wahlang’s 29 and Ankita Sharma’s 24, coupled with plenty of extras, took Ri-Bhoi to 108 for no loss. In reply, East Garo Hills were restricted to 21/3, with Angelica Maring and Dolina Marten among the wicket-takers. Wahlang was declared player-of-the-match.
