SHILLONG, April 1: Giving a twist to the significance of April Fools’ Day — practical jokes and pranks, the staff of Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides, Shillong, on Thursday planted saplings, arranged flower pots and cleaned the state headquarters campus of the association as part of the ‘April Cool Day’ celebration.
The staff beautified the campus to ensure that it looked “cool” with green surroundings.
Plants like bottle-brushes, bougainvillas, camelias, forget-me-nots, palm trees, blue tango, snake plants and other ornamental plants were reinvigorated.
