Cyclone destroys houses in WKH village

NONGSTOIN, April 5: In another episode of inclement weather at Pyndengrei village of West Khasi Hills, a cyclone accompanied by high-velocity winds ravaged several houses on Sunday morning.
Villagers informed that no casualty was reported.
After the incident, Nongstoin MLA Macmillan Byrsat along with the village Headman, M Marwein, visited the cyclone-affected areas. The MLA assured necessary assistance for the restoration of the houses of the affected families.
