Holiday
The state government has declared April 12 as a paid holiday for all public/private commercial and industrial enterprises etc., including shops and factories, falling under the GHADC, in view of the Council elections. This was informed by the Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, Labour department.

Natl Lok Adalat
The National Lok Adalat will be held in the District and Session Judge Court, Jowai, 2021 at 10 am on April 17, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Service Authority, West Jaintia Hills, informed. Matters to be taken up include bank recovery cases, bakijai cases, criminal compoundable cases, electricity bill (excluding non-compoundable cases) besides labour dispute, land acquisition, MACT, matrimonial, Negotiable Instruments Act u/s 138, civil and revenue cases, service matters relating to pay and allowances and retirement benefits and water bills (excluding non-compoundable cases).

Distribution
The Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare will distribute agricultural machineries and equipment to farmers on Thursday at the Meghalaya State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute campus, 7th Mile, Upper Shillong.
