BJP functionary arrested in GH

TURA, April 13: Senior BJP functionary and Karyakarta, Anoy Paul, whose attempt to influence voters to vote for the party at Chaipani polling station, in the just-concluded GHADC polls, resulted in tension at Dalu, has reportedly been arrested by police on Tuesday.
Police informed that Paul was arrested in the morning hours based on the FIR filed by the concerned Electoral Officer. Paul is currently under Judicial Custody.
Earlier on Monday, Paul’s attempt to influence voters sparked opposition from the public including supporters of other political parties who confronted the BJP leader leading to his assault and police had to whisk him away to Dalu Police Station, where the tension continued.
