Bars, clubs, saloons, beauty parlours, cinemas in Shillong to remain closed till April 30

SHILLONG, April:  In view of the spike in COVID19 cases in the state especially in East Khasi Hills district, Meghalaya government has ordered closure of bars, clubs, cinema halls, saloon/beauty parlours, yoga institutions, gymnesiums, cyber cafes, gaming parlours and swimming pools from April 23 to 30 in Shillong Urban Agglomeration.

The areas covered by the order include whole of Shillong Municipal area, cantonment area, all areas under Mawlai C&RD block including Census Towns, Mawpat C &RD block including census towns, Mylliem C &RD block from Umchyrpi Bridge up to 7th Mile, Upper Shillong including Madanrting, mawblei, Laitkor, Nongkesh, Umlyngka and Lawsohtun.
