The office of the Director General of Police on Monday requested the general public to report any fake news related to COVID-19 circulating on the social media or via any other medium through the COVID-19 Fake News Verification portal of the Meghalaya Police and advised them to verify the authenictiy of any information before uploading/circulating through their social media which may create trepidation among the citizens.
Body found
A male body was found lying at Mawlonghat, Shillong, on April 17, a statement informed on Monday. The body was then shifted to Shillong Civil Hospital and autopsy was conducted while other legal formalities were also observed. The body has, meanwhile, been kept at the hospital morgue for identification. Any concerned who can identify the body has been asked to contact 03642222277.
