Free courses for COVID-hit students in MGU

SHILLONG, May 10: As the entire country reels under the pressure of COVID-19 crisis, the Mahatma Gandhi University Meghalaya has announced free admission at the varsity in Management, Law, Allied Health Sciences, Pharmacy, ITI and other courses, for students whose parents died of COVID-19 and are facing difficulties in pursuing further studies.
Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University, Rajan Chopra, said, “Needy students can enrol in courses like BA, MA, B.Pharm, D Pharm, Law, MLT, DMLT, BPT, MPT etc, at the University and continue further studies for free.” He added that the university would even provide books for free.
Excel Book Publication House has decided to give books of management, IT and technical courses to needy students for free, he informed.
Apart from Mahatma Gandhi University, these affected students can enrol for B.Tech, BBA, MBA, BSc and ITI at Mahatma Gandhi Universe Institute and Dayanand Dinanath Institute Technology College located on Kanupar-Lucknow Highway in Uttar Pradesh, Rajan Chopra said.
