The Assistant Inspector General of Police (A) has urged the general public to report any fake news relating to COVID-19 being circulated on social media or any other platform through the COVID-19 Fake News Verification portal of Meghalaya Police (https://megedistrict.gov.in/), a statement issued here on Wednesday said. Verify the authenticity of any information before uploading/ circulating it on social media as it may create trepidation among the citizens, it added.
