SHILLONG, May 25: Rallying with other Good Samaritans of Shillong lending a helping hand at individual and community-level in combating COVID-19, Congress MLA Ampareen Lyngdoh has offered a 10-bedroom quarantine facility for isolation and treatment of COVID-19 patients from Laitumkhrah area with asymptomatic or mild conditions.
It may be mentioned that her husband and KHADC MDC, Fantin Lakadong, is also supporting the cause.
The Laitumkhrah MLA informed that three patients were admitted into the quarantine facility on Tuesday, adding that she is working on creating more facilities.
“The spread has to be contained and we can do that if we segregate the positive and send them to a safe isolation centre,” Lyngdoh said.
It is worth recalling that many organisations over the past few weeks have come forward in setting up COVID isolation centres.
