MAWKYRWAT, May 27: After learning that the Rangthong Primary Health Centre (PHC) in South West Khasi Hills has been facing shortage of water since last week, the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU), Rangthong Unit, on Thursday donated drinking water to the PHC and all the staff quarters.
Rangthong PHC does not only provide service to the people of Rangthong village but more than ten others, Union president Pynskhemborlang Shangdiar informed, adding that the Union lauds the workers of the PHC.
The KSU also thanked the PHE department, Mawkyrwat, and Myntri of Rangthong village, Kitborlang Nongrem, for taking the initiative of repairing the pipes to ensure enough drinking water in Rangthong village even as it sought more ambulances from the government for the PHC.
