NONGSTOIN, June 9: All Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in West Khasi Hills will now start testing both inpatients and outpatients after West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner notified the order in view of high transmissibility of COVID-19.
The DC said that protocol of testing-tracing-tracking should continue with more vigour so as to ensure that symptomatic cases are tested, isolated and treated with early treatment protocols.
On detection of such cases, the health workers in the PHCs can contact COVID-19 Helpline 9485395373/8257946145.
On the other hand, the DC urged all local cabbies and shopkeepers to get vaccinated to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
