NONGSTOIN, June 21: After the containment order was lifted by the District Magistrate for Them Iew locality, the office of the Syiem of Hima Nongstoin has announced the reopening of Nongstoin market on rotation basis and using the odd and even number-based system like the order published earlier.
The Hima has decided to allow reopening of the market from Tuesday.
Shopkeepers, meanwhile, have been cautioned and urged to maintain physical distance and avoid crowding outside their shop premises at all times. They have also been directed to wear masks properly.
Customers too have been advised to ensure COVID-appropriate behavior at the market.
The Syiem of Hima Nongstoin also announced that no vendor will be allowed to encroach into the footpath area in Nongstoin market.
