State registers eight deaths, 336 fresh cases

SHILLONG, June 28: Meghalaya recorded eight COVID-19 deaths on Monday taking the death toll to 827. The state also reported 336 fresh cases and 508 recoveries in the past 24 hours.
Seven deaths were reported in East Khasi Hills while one fatality was reported in East Jaintia Hills.
The active tally stands at 4378 while the total number of patients cured/recovered stand at 43,578.
159 fresh cases were reported in East Khasi Hills, 49 in West Jaintia Hills, 48 in Ri Bhoi, 18 in West Garo Hills, 15 in East Jaintia Hills, 14 in South West Khasi Hills, 13 in West Khasi Hills, 11 in North Garo Hills, six in East Garo Hills and three in South Garo Hills.
The recoveries included 147 in East Khasi Hills, 105 in West Garo Hills, 95 in West Jaintia Hills, 52 in Ri-Bhoi, 27 in North Garo Hills, 21 in South West Garo Hills, 20 in East Garo Hills, 17 in South West Khasi Hills, 12 in East Jaintia Hills, 11 in South Garo Hills and one in West Khasi Hills.
