Workshop
The Shillong Science Centre, Innovation Hub, will be hosting a free three-day online workshop starting Wednesday, which is specifically designed for students of Class 8-12 with priority to female students, a statement issued by the institute said. Resource persons for the workshop include Rahul Chatterjee, Assistant Lecturer, Physics, at Shillong Jail Road Boys HS School who will speak on ‘Astronomy’, Abhishek Das, founder of Mad Math Duration, on ‘S.T.E.M. MAD Math Mathematics Session’, Rupesh Mandal, Assistant Professor, Assam Don Bosco University, on ‘Internet of Things-Garbage Monitoring System’, and Meubalajied ki wa O Sungoh, College of Engineering, Pune, on ‘Android App Development for Complete Beginners’. The Zoom link to the virtual even will be given a day prior to the workshop sessions, the statement added.

Natl Lok Adalat
The Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM)-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), West Garo Hills, has informed that the National Lok Adalat is scheduled to be held on July 10 at the District and Session Judges’ court building in Tura. Therefore, persons who have received notice from the Court to attend the National Lok Adalat for settlement or disposal of their cases are requested to attend the National Lok Adalat at the venue mentioned above.

Body formed
The Rishipara Community Development Society (RCDS) was formed in a meeting held recently at its locality community hall. During the meeting, Sameet Rishi was elected as president, Nukul Rishi and Rabindro Rishi as vice presidents, Merisoon Rishi (Anukul) as general secretary, Prasanta Rishi and Sagar Hajong as joint secretaries and Dilu Rishi as treasurer, amomg 11 other executive members.
