Shillong, July 29: The East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner has asked people from the district, who want their names to be recommended to the government for Padma Awards, to send their nominations to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills, on or before August 14.
A statement in this regard on Thursday informed that the Padma Awards will be announced on the occasion of Republic Day next year.
