SHILLONG, Aug 3: Opposition Leader Mukul Sangma, on Tuesday, took a jibe at Chief Minister Conrad Sangma over his ribbon-cutting spree amidst a raging pandemic when people were advised to maintain all health protocols including physical distancing to thwart the chances of being infected.
Mukul also maintained that the CM recently inaugurated some projects in his Constituency without inviting him, while recalling that he had contributed for the project through his MLA Scheme on a convergence mode.
Candidly, Mukul said, “All the projects for which I laid foundation, he (Conrad) is now inaugurating (them),” the Opposition leader said.
Reacting to his political campaigning during the GHADC polls, Mukul said that the CM had literally organised a rock concert instead of a poll campaign when cases were spiraling in state.
Asking the CM to lead by example, Mukul Sangma said that people would converge in large numbers if somebody organises any meeting.
Earlier, the former CM pointed out that students are finding it difficult to carry on with their studies through online mode. He slammed the government over poor connectivity in the state and called for a review on the matter in consultation with concerned network providers.
