IndiGo launches Shillong-Imphal direct flight

SHILLONG, Aug 4: Budget carrier, IndiGo launched a flight from Shillong to Imphal on Tuesday.
AAI Shillong announced the launch of the service in a tweet.
The flight service is available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and the fare for one-way journey has been capped at around Rs 2,000.
Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma also tweeted that through the Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik (UDAN) scheme, direct air service will be initiated between Shillong and Imphal, cutting short the travel time significantly and connecting Meghalaya and Manipur closer.
