Veteran scribe passes away

SHILLONG, Aug 6: Meghalaya, on Friday, lost yet another veteran in the field of journalism as Syndor Singh Syiem passed away at NEIGRIHMS on Friday night. He was 67.
Syiem is survived by his wife and three children.
He started his career in journalism from a Khasi vernacular daily, Pyrta Riewlum, during the 1980s. He later took over as Editor of U Nongsain Hima in August 1993 and subsequently ended up becoming the Editor of U Peitngor in 2008 till his retirement in 2019.
