MLA rewards COVID-19 volunteers

SHILLONG, Aug 14: South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai on Saturday distributed gift hampers, certificates among and rendered monetary aid to COVID-19 volunteers of MCIC 19th South Shillong constituency in a bid to recognise their services in the trying times brought about by the pandemic.
According to a statement on Saturday, the volunteers were guerdoned as part of the Independence Day celebrations.
Shullai also distributed hi-tech podiums with inbuilt sound system among organisations under the constituency so as to promote vaccination drive against COVID-19.
